Following on with my current series of reports from King Island in Australia, I thought I’d take an opportunity to mention to those of you out there who like to eat steak (sorry Jay) King Island is home to some of the very best if not THE best beef in the world. There are all kinds of takes on why the beef is so tender. Certainly the cows here seem to be pretty happy, free-roaming all over this wonderful island’s green hills. My theory is that the cows cruise the beach’s and just love to eat the bull kelp which is super charged with loads of natural nutrients. How could that not be good for the cows. No matter how you look at it, the beef here, like the cheese’s and other dairy products is is truly world class.
