Beautiful Tahiti’an- like conditions on Oahu

Here in Hawaii, the trade winds blow almost year round from the Nth east, which is great in the hot summer months, but it also means that the wind is always onshore over on the east side of the island, so you rarely get to see the true beauty of the east side because of the constant on shore winds. However we also have another wind pattern here in Hawaii called Kona winds which come up from the south – south west and if they blow long enough, they’ll bring with them a thick blanket of VOG (Volcanic Ash), from the big island It is during these kona wind days that the east side truly shows it’s hidden beauty. Next time you’re up here on the
north shore and it turns Kona winds, don’t despair. Just take a cruise down the east side and enjoy true natural Hawaiian beauty
