Helicopter produces amazing aerial panavista’s

As a professional photographer, I have a lot of tools at my fingertips. Some cameras, a bunch of high quality lens, some specialized water proof camera box’s to protect my gear when I’m swimming with it and a whole bunch more other gear, but one item clearly stands out. I don’t get to use it too often, but when I do, it’s a joy. I’m talking of course about the helicopter and what an amazing tool it is for producing unique images that very few others have. At around $500 – $1,000 an hour, one has to be very careful as to when to take the “bird” up. I typically wait till till there’s an exceptionally good swell running, combined with blue skies
and favorable winds. Usually when I’m up in the air shooting, it’s more often than not all about Tow surfing and the giant outer reefs on Oahu’s north shore, but sometimes, Pipeline itself can turn it on for a few pass-by’s. Here, I present to you a handful of random aerial images mainly from the north shore of Oahu, but there is also one in there from
Tahiti …. enjoy
