Ocean Lifeline
Presents: New York World Oceans Day 2012.

New York, New York – June 8th, 2012 – Our mission at Ocean Lifeline (OLL) is to captivate the public interest in ocean conservation through the creation of powerful imagery and art. The OLL awareness campaign strategy is to use art as a platform to reach individual consumers in cites such as New York to promote ocean conservation.

Ocean Lifeline’s is hosting the premier event for World Oceans Day on June 8th at Allegra LaViola Gallery 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm. This art benefit will feature ocean themed and recycled works by world-renowned celebrity artists and projection art by Max Nova. The group show will include works by artists: Isack Kousnsky, Nicholas Forker, Red Mahan, Sean Davey, Tasso, Bakov, Shantell Martin, Cindy Pease Roe, Yarden and Jonathan Davis, Rossa Cole, Judith and Richard Lang, Patrick Muniz and Coral Morphologic. An art auction by Manhattan Auction House will be at 9:00 pm. Proceeds of the art sales will go to ORCA and the Hawaii Wildlife Fund

Music for the night will be an eclectic mix by the beach inspired band, The Moto-Wrays and DJs Kelle Calco, Chris Sanabria, Buffalo Soul child and Casey Macem.

Special performances will be provided throughout the night by hula dancers (Polynesian Dance Productions) a violinist and artist, Cindy Pease Roe sculpting out of recycled plastic. In addition to celebrity guests and VIPs who are expected to be in attendance, this event is expected to attract a diverse cross-section of A-listers, ocean conservationists and art collectors and curators.
