Sean talks story for upcoming film
Tim Bonython has been involved in the surf film scene for at least as long as l have been and I’m in this caper for more than 30 years already. Way back in the day, Tim used to tour the east coast of Australia, armed with a film projector and his latest films. That’s how they did it back in the day, before video altered the playing field.
Tim’s featured my work in past projects such as “Black Water”, but his current project, entitled “Trigger Happy” is about the very lensmen, who bring surf imagery to you. It’ll be a while before you get to see this sure to be a gem of a film, but I’m sure it will be worth the wait. Here is an interview that Tim did with me a while ago, as part of the film.

I've been visiting this quaint little farming community island in Australia since the very early 90's and after 15 trips there and numerous requests from the locals, I felt it was time to put together a picture book . This is the the result. A glorious 120 page visual feast of the best moments from 15 trips, over 17 years. And although I have already published 2 books prior to this one ( Oceans and Fotografius da Alma ) this is my first completely self published book. From the camera, all the way to the printing press.
