Beaches
Here you’ll find some beautiful beach scenes from far-off places such as Gili Lankanfushi in the Maldives and Lances Lefts in the Mentawai Islands, Indonesia. But most come from the beautiful Hawaiian islands featuring breath-taking sunsets, rainbow skies, and foot-printed beaches.
Oahu from Above
For the past 25 years, Sean has chartered helicopters for magazine shoots – often for big wave surfing – capturing fleeting moments of aerial scapes of many parts of Oahu.
Black & White
Even from a young age, Sean has always had a deep appreciation for the art of black & white photography. Despite color photography just becoming popular through the Kodak Instamatic camera, Sean was still captivated by black and white colors. Since the 70s, Sean has been mixing patterns to perfect the black & white print.
Rainbows
Rainbows are one of those natural occurrences that just about everyone loves to experience. They always seem to bring positive vibes to any situation. These are some of Sean’s best rainbows.
Panoramas
The Panoramas Collection features the Maldives, Hawaii, California & Australia. Laid out in either horizontal or vertical format, you’ll find that panoramic cuts play to its elements, like in the Leaning Palm, The Hazards, Melbourne Sunrise & Sandy Footprints.
Surf Line-Ups
Traveling for surfing magazines for the past 30 years, Sean has certainly seen more than a few classic Surf Line-ups along the way. This collection draws from some of Sean’s favorite shots taken all over the world.
Surf Cars
Sean’s newer collection, this holds candid shots of many of the surf cars he’s been privy to over the years, including a few classic old Woodys, antiques, vintage surf cars, and even a classic 80’s Corolla panel van.
Davey’s Wavey Gravey
Davey’s Wavey Gravey was born out of a life-long collection of ocean wave images, 4 decades in the making. Compelled to launch, Sean’s collection features waves in their many varied forms, peaks, bowls, tubes, backwash, sea foam, from every angle – in front, behind, above, even underwater.
Underwater Sea Life
Full of various sea creatures from Sean’s adventures beneath the waves, you’ll find turtles, pods of dolphins, huge schools of fish – & everything in between.
Shadows & Silhouettes
Inspired by legends, Aussie beach photography icon, Max Dupain and iconic American, Pete Turner, this is Sean’s favorite collection. Sean has been adding to this from every corner of the world he’s traveled to for more than 3 decades.
Turtle Bay
Living in Turtle Bay for 20 years now, Sean has managed to capture a lot of cool images of and around Turtle Bay on Oahu’s north shore. Turtle Bay is unlike most of the hotels on Oahu in that it’s tucked away from Waikiki’s crowds and is surrounded by nothing but countryside and deserted beaches with some of the clearest waters and most beautiful sunsets in the Hawaii.
Epic Surf Moments
This gallery draws from many magic moments showing extraordinary conditions of ocean waves, surf moments, speed blurs, aerial shots from a helicopter, crazy wipeouts, and even underwater shots.
